I guess this is something I'm not procrastinating at. . .

If someone were to ask me my biggest flaw, it wouldn't have anything to do with pride, or lust, or shooting my mouth off, although heaven knows I need help with all those things. No, I think the thing that most often gets me in over my head in trouble is my tendency to put things off until tomorrow.

See, at heart I am a lazy, lazy person. Why make my bed if I'm just going to crawl back in it at the end of the day? Why make that phone call today if they're open tomorrow? Why do my homework now when it's not due until Wednesday?

It gets me into trouble, because those problems suddenly all push themselves to a place called. . .now. And that's when I find myself backed into a corner, kicking myself for my slothfullness, not heeding the warnings of laziness over and over in Proverbs.

I gotta get motivated, I tell myself. But there's a lie that motivation just happens. You gotta DO things, and THEN you get motivated. I would think that my need for naps and relaxation are partly because I'm just sitting around the whole time, putting things off instead of working my butt off and EARNING the relaxation.

So, I guess it's time to get off my butt. If I say I'm going to look for jobs, I start today. If I'm going to do my homework, it's going to be tonight. No more putting stuff off!!

Okay, other news...

Weekend turned out fine. Sunday school went well, I think. Fewer people than normal, but I guess that's good. I don't need to inflate my ego anymore than necessary :) Sermon was good, I already wrote about that.

My money matters class met last night. It's such a good reminder to focus on the fact that I really have nothing. Everything is God's and He entrusts me with a certain portion that I need to take care of and be faithful with. . .

I was surprised that Erin's friends, Hannah and Scott, called last night to see if I wanted to hang out with them. It was a lot of fun :) It's good to make new friends :)

Got home in time to catch the last quarter of the Piston's game. Nice win. But is it just me or does Shaq look mentally impaired when they do a close up on him? He's just got really dumb eyes. Big lummox :)

Okay, I'll write more lata playas!
